Service Description

Administering first aid skills quickly and effectively may well mean the differences between life and death, or how successfully a patient recovers from their emergency event or illness! Accidents or life-threatening emergencies can happen to anyone, at any time and anywhere. That is why the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and the Department of Labour enforces compliance to this act requiring all employers to have sufficiently trained first aider and first aid resources in the workplace. We will assist you with all your first aid NQF level 1 training and first aid equipment requirements. On completion of a first aid NQF level, 1-course delegates will be equipped with important first aid knowledge and skills, enabling them to assist patients who need emergency first aid assistance. The course will include content and facilitation on the specific outcomes and modules listed below. Specific Outcomes: Demonstrate an understanding of elementary anatomy and physiology Assess an emergency situation Apply first aid procedures to the life-threatening situation and treat common injuries. First Aid NQF Level 1 Course Content and Modules: Introduction, principles of first aid, legal aspects and scene safety. Positioning and elementary anatomy and physiology. Scene survey and casualty assessment. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking. Shock and fainting. Bleeding, wounds and burns. Fractures, sprains and strains. Head, spinal, chest and abdominal injuries. Environmental emergencies, bites, stings and poisoning. Medical emergencies. Triage and record keeping. Duration of the course: 2 days facilitation and submission of a workplace practical learning assignment


Cancellation Policy

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 100% course fee is payable on the day of booking, an invoice and receipt will be issued. Training dates requested by client are not confirmed until full payment is received. No refunds for cancellations or non-attendance. If you wish to cancel or postpone your course less than 6 weeks prior to the course date no refund will be given. Postponement fee is R1600 for advanced courses and R500 for BLS. Full refund minus the fees of the books (if you received manuals) will be given if cancellation or postponement is done more than 6 weeks prior to the course dates. By sending this form you declare that the information furnished by you is, to the best of your knowledge, true and correct. You also acknowledge our company policy with regards to cancellations / postponements. Invoices should be paid at least 3–4 weeks before the course date to deliver the manuals to the students timeously as per AHA requirements. For ACLS and PALS programs please send a copy of your valid AHA BLS certificate with registration or indicate that you will attend BLS with us before attending the ACLS / PALS. Manuals can only be delivered to students or collected by students once full payment have been received. If applicable, travelling and accommodation costs for instructors should be arranged and paid for by the client and is not included in the invoice. Certificates will only be issued if a student attended ALL the training sessions presented for the program for which he / she was booked and upon successful completion of the theoretical and practical evaluations and receipt of all outstanding course fees. It should specifically be noted that none of the international and local courses will alter the scope of practice of any practitioner registered with the HPCSA or SANC in South Africa.
